Don’t hire anyone without the following insurance coverage to work on your property.  If you do, you will open yourself to legal liabilities.  The painter could sue you or put a lien on your house if they are injured on the job.   Ask for proof of insurance and call their Insurance Agency directly to confirm that the insurance is still valid.  Some companies buy the coverage initially, but let it lapse when they are not working.
